TMCA arranged Blood Donation Camp in honour of Kuwait National and Liberation Days

Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA), Kuwait, one of the biggest and oldest Indian associations in Kuwait duly registered with the Embassy of India, serving the most needy people at large irrespective of caste, color, creed etc. arranged a special Blood Donation Camp honoring the auspicious occasions of Kuwait's 51st National Day and 21st Liberation Day on Saturday, the 25th February 2012 from 07.30 a.m. till 01.00 p.m at Central Blood Bank in Jabriya.

Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) and its members, especially its Co-ordination Council under the guidance of its Executive body, dedicated themselves volunteering Camp activities and most notably, members of other brotherly Associations extended their support with enthusiasm honoring the occasions.

The donors started to donate blood since 07:30 a.m. The official inauguration program commenced at 9:30 a.m. 'Gulf Asia' Mr. Shahul Hameed, Treasurer initiated the program and staged the maestro in administering the whole ceremony. At the outset, the holy verses recited by Mr. Muneer Ahamed (Secretary Religious Wing). Mr. Avoor Basheer Ahamed, President welcomed all guests, blood donors, members and others and spoke briefly highlighting TMCA's innumerable activities with his high vision of taking TMCA to the forefront and as a good model.

Dr. (Mrs) Rana Hussein Abdul Razack, Director, Central Blood Bank felicitated the event. News reporter from Arab Times, English daily and Al-Seyassah, Arabic daily were present who covered-up the Camp activities at large besides M/s. Naser Video Vision, Kuwait who interviewed our guests and participants as a special arrangement.

A special memento has been presented to Blood Bank Administration as a token of Thanks and Appreciation, on behalf of TMCA for providing an opportunity to be of service here on this day who in turn reciprocated our gesture by presenting their own to TMCA which was happily accepted. Blood Bank distributed special gifts to all Donors appreciating their gesture. As it rained continuously, we fell short of expected and around 110 donors turned-out to make it as a remarkable one donating blood expressing their humanitarian spirit.

Mr. M.A.J. Mohamed Iqbal and Mr. Al-Mass Musthafa, former TMCA Presidents, Jahra Mr. Mohamed Iqbal and Mr. Ramzi Shajahan, TMCA Advisors and heads and representatives of various brotherly Associations were present gracing this event. Distribution of special packs of Juice, Water, Cake and Fruit to Donors were sponsored by Mr. Mohamed Yousuf, M/s. Top Traders, Mr. Shahinshah Khan and Mr. Hasan Mohamed and Sister (Mrs) Parveen, besides special sandwich sponsored by TVS Mr. Alaudeen.

TMCA conveyed it's thanks to all sponsors for their notable contribution and a Certificate of Appreciation had been presented to all Donors acknowledging their participation and support to TMCA's noble cause.
